PARTS OF A BOOK
1. The endpaper and the flyleaf are one sheet of paper.
2. The endpaper is guled to the bookboard while the flyleaf, the first and last page in the book, are loose.
3. The hinge is the part of the endpaper that is not glued to the bookboard.
4. The signatures are folded sheets of paper that make the pages of the book and are glued to the mull.
5. The spine is the backbone of the book. It is not seen because it is covered with a bookboard material such as cloth or leather.
